Orchestra Les Volcano came into being as an offshoot of Super Volcano and was co-founded by Charles Ray Kasembe and Mohamed Mazingazinga in 1976. Les Volcano took the Kenyan music scene by storm in the early 80’s with such hugely popular tracks such as: Kukataliwa ni Kubaya, Hakuna Dawa ya Mapenzi and Tumuonye Mwanangu.

Charles Ray Kasembe passed away in 1994.
