Judy Ogake, who goes by the stage name Sugar, is no new comer to Nairobi music circle. Born 24 years ago, her love for music began at an early age, finding her singing along songs her father would play around the house.

It was during her high school years that developed her vocals as well as her interest is music. Thereafter she began the pursuit of her dream to sing professionally.

Sugars drive and ambition has seen her collaborate with other music icons such as Harry Kimani, Barbara Guantai and Anne Khan from Germany. Her style borders on RnB with a soul element, with her own african personality mixed into it, and some of her songs have a touch of Reggae and House music.

Sugar is a regular at the Carnivore having performed at various events including the Chaguo La Teenies 2011 activation tour. Sugar has also been featured on television a number of times most recently on Kenya’s Best Entertainer on Kiss TV that saw her qualify as a finalist.
