Charles Mwangi Kiune is from Mathioya in Muranga, and started singing in early 70's while at Kagumo-ini Primary School during the annual Kenya Music Festivals. After schooling, he joined his brother, a musician, Julius (By-Law) Kangethe before venturing out on his own in 1992. He currently performs Kikuyu, Kiswahili and English Gospel songs.
